Valentine’s Day was the perfect time to reflect on what we love about our class. What stood out most? They’re not just classmates, they’re friends. The kindness they show one another is what makes our classroom so special. I feel so lucky to be part of their Grade 8 year 💗

Congratulations to our senior girls’ basketball team for placing 🥈 at yesterday’s tournament. They fought hard and showed grit and sportsmanship throughout. Proud to be their coach! 💙🏀

Very impressed with the leadership my grade 8s showed today. They taught our primary friends about theme and did an amazing job. They put in so much effort and created lessons that were fun and engaging.

Grade 8’s worked collaboratively to build a boat. They used their understanding of buoyancy and displacement to ensure their boat would float when mass was added.

After listening to this week’s Song of the Week, “What About Us?” by Pink, students discussed what they wish adults knew about their generation. Honest insights sparked meaningful conversations and strengthened class connections.

In our religion discussion this week, students reflected on what they are thankful for. Today, students had a chance to record a few of those things on our class pumpkin. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃

Our senior soccer team made it to the finals at Friday’s tournament and finished in 2nd place! 🥈⚽ Very proud of this team, not just for their hard work and teamwork, but for the sportsmanship they showed throughout the day! Way to go 🦁’s.

Grade 8s spent the day up in the trees—conquering fears, building confidence, and making lasting memories. Huge thanks to Treetop Trekking for an unforgettable day of team building and adventure.🌳

Grade 8’s have been working collaboratively on various math tasks designed to introduce them to the expectations of our 'Thinking Classroom'.
