Kendrick Lamar wins Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the AMAs 🔥 The other nominees were: - Don Toliver - Playboi Carti - Tyler, The Creator - YoungBoy Never Broke Again

Reason says Kendrick Lamar's poor curation of artists is why GNX came up short and didn't popularise the LA sound the way Kendrick intended.

What's your unpopular opinion about Kendrick Lamar?

Drake's "Make Them Cry" officially breaks the all-time record for biggest streaming day for a hip-hop song in global Spotify history (13.2 million). It surpasses Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us".

This album alone clears all 3 🗑️🗑️🗑️released today!!!😂

Kendrick die hard fans are the most toxic fandom right now. they are so close minded, can't take any criticism and act as if he were the founder of hip hop, a god who came to earth to bless us with his music. they immediately assume that whoever criticized them is a Drake fan (which is not the case for me), and resort to personal insults. they just don't debate, they already have their opinions formed: "Kendrick is the greatest ever, nothing else matters". they are incapable of admitting, for example, that: he doesn't make fun music, some of his latest songs are embarrassing, and the voice he's chosen to use is ridiculous. since the Drake beef it feels like anything remotely positive about Kendrick gets over glazed while no actual discussion is being had. we’ve seen this type of love for Kendrick before where he just gets shoved into the mainstream light, and you can’t say anything but positives about him without being crucified. I even promised to do a review of the songs from the Kendrick, Drake, and Cole feud, and clearly Kendrick came out on top, but that doesn't mean he should be elevated to god-like status because of it. for me, the song "Not Like Us" is extremely cringeworthy, just like Drake's "Push-Ups," and poor Cole, thank goodness he apologized because it would have looked bad for him. in short, I think that as if it wasn't enough that the media fawns over Kendrick, gives him excessive awards, meaningless nominations, and puts him on lists he shouldn't be on. added to this, the toxic behavior from the most extremist part of his fanbase only contributes to further alienating casual listeners and generating antipathy towards him. another ridiculous thing they do is assume that someone hasn't listened to his albums: I, for example, prefer GKMC over TPAB, but each time the exaggerated hype surrounding him increased, my enthusiasm for his work cooled down.

Kendrick Lamar might just be the most hated rapper and artiste in history. I haven’t seen anything like it before. I used to think Jay-Z was the most hated, since some people dislike him because he is a billionaire, but with Kendrick, it feels even more intense. How can someone be this good and people still deny it?

Damn LaMid got JaRuled
