I don't like the glorification of demonetization. I consider it to be one of the worst decisions made by Govt of India in the 21st century.
Many people died in queues waiting to exchange their own hard-earned money. Goalposts kept shifting and none of the stated objectives were met. Govt's own data clearly shows that Indian economy suffered a lot because of it.
Corrupt people found a way to launder money anyway. Just yesterday, they caught a currency counterfeiting racket in Ahmedabad. Govt had declared Nov 8 as “Anti-Black Money Day” and celebrated its first anniversary in 2017, but they stopped bringing it up in official communications by 2019 as even they realized that the costs had far outweighed the benefits.

Mukhtar did against Dr MMJ in 2009.
And Joshi would have lost if it were any other candidate.
