As big as Enugu is, there’s no water. Government ended up building non-functional water gallery in this modern world after spending over N5bn. What did Ndi Enugu do wrong to @PNMbah?

ENUGU LOUDSPEAKER🌴🌴🌴🌴
Hon. Pat Asadu represented Nsukka/Igboeze South in the House of Reps for 16 good years. He just defected from APC to NDC to recontest. The worst mistake NDC would do is to give this opportunist ticket. 16 years in the green chambers and nothing to show for it. No tangible project in his constituency, NDC should use a cutlass to chase him away.

This is Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi, representing the Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency. He was among those who rode the Peter Obi and Labour Party wave in the last election; he later defected to the APC and was recently denied a return ticket. He plans to return to NDC and pick their ticket but he has failed to show workings to his constituency for his 4 years in office. Prof Nnamchi is yet to show us his constituency project for the last 4 years and yet he wants to return. NDC should be very careful, they should give someone credible their ticket.

On this World Nurses Day, I would like to take a moment to appreciate all the nurses and midwives in our dear nation, who occupy a very special place and play very critical roles in our health sector. As one who has been on the vanguard of investing in our critical sectors of human and national development, I have always maintained that you, our dear nurses, are the heart of our health sector. Over the years, I have traversed different corners of our nation supporting different schools and colleges of nursing and midwifery because I understand the inevitable role you play in our healthcare delivery. As you mark this special day, I wish to, firstly, thank you for all your efforts and sacrifices. Your compassion, sacrifice, and resilience keep our nation alive. And secondly, I wish to encourage you not to relent in your service to humanity. Nigerian nurses work under some of the toughest conditions with dignity and courage. From physical and mental stress to high patient-to-nurse ratios, to lack of equipment and poor working environments, your resilience keeps our health sector going. And beyond the shores of the nation, our nurses have continued to make exploits on the global stage. From leading the next generation research in nursing practice to championing excellence in clinical practice—many Nigerian nurses have written their names on the sands of time and lifted our national banner high. I celebrate you all. My firm commitment to you all remains this — we will build a New Nigeria where your hard work and sacrifices will never go unnoticed. We will invest in your education and training to ensure that you remain competitive on the global stage. Happy World Nurses Day to you all. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

This is Chidi Mark Obetta, representing Nsukka/Igbo Eze South Federal Constituency in Enugu State. He was elected under LP in 2023, defeating the incumbent PDP candidate with about 50,881 votes through the massive support of Obidient Movement. In May 2025, he defected from LP to PDP. In October 2025, he dumped PDP & defected to APC. During his campaign in 2022, he told well-meaning Nigerians to recall him if he ever fails to perform. The question is, what has Chidi done for his constituents other than moving from one party to another?

You remember this “onwu mere Eze” Senator Kelvin Chukwu, whom the Labour Party compensated with the Enugu East Senatorial ticket following the ass@ssination of his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, during the 2023 election campaign? He has now decamped to the APC and successfully undergone the party’s screening to return to the Red Chamber after four years of poor representation and zero contribution to the 10th Assembly. That is why it's called a dirty game.. Ur thoughts?

The most painful part for me is that some morons who are old boys of the school are absorbing the school of the blame. That water scarcity is an Enugu thing, therefore there is nothing CIC can do about it. I am really tired. A 14 years old boy gone like that over negligence.

This youngster Kosisochukwu Nnamani drowned while trying to fetch water at College of Immaculate Conception Enugu (CIC) school reservoir. This happened on May 4th. This is pure negligence and lack of safeguarding from the school. Why should students fetch water in reservoirs?

This is Manuchim Umezuruike, a member of the House of Representatives from Rivers State, representing the Port Harcourt 1 Federal Constituency. He was elected in 2023 on the platform of Labour Party. Therefore, he benefited massively from Obidient Movement. In December 2025, he defected from LP to APC. On April 14, 2026, he left the APC to join ADC. On May 5, 2026, he moved to NDC, hoping to secure the party’s ticket for his second term.

The water situation in Enugu is so bad that 14 years old C.I.C student lost his life at the schools water reservoir some days ago. Why should a school be having a water reservoir in 2026? Why should students still be fetching water with buckets in 2026? C.I.C Enugu is one of the biggest schools in the heart of Enugu. Rest on Master Kosisochukwu. Enugu State government failed you.

Lady recounts the trågic deåth of her 14-year-old younger brother, Kosisochukwu Nnamani, who passed away on 4th May 2026 at CIC Enugu State. According to her, the incident happened while he went to fetch water from a reservoir. She explained that they were initially sent out for church May devotion, but he later sneaked out with his friends to collect his bucket. In the process, he asked a friend to tie a rope around his waist so he could go into the reservoir to retrieve it. Unfortunately, while they were trying to pull him back up, the rope reportedly gave way and he fell into the water and drøwned.

Our anyhowness and lack of the spirit of excellence led to this boy's demise and it hurts me. Reports are emerging that his classmates/friends tied a rope on his leg and lowered him inside a reservoir so he could bring out his bucket but his weight was more than the rope and it cut. Before the other students could get help, he drowned. CIC Enugu is not a small school. It is a well funded and well run mission school. I am here wondering why they still have a reservoir that is accessible to students in a way that they still use buckets to draw water from it. This is 2026! Have they not found a better way of providing water to the students? The old boys are well organised and should please support their alma mater. This is so sad to read. It is in the simple and little things that you see if a society is excellent. What happened to Ambrose was not supposed to happen at all. Like Jeriq said, "CIC helped in building me, CIC also destroyed me". It is not life that we are living in Nigeria. #TheMBN Martin Beck Nworah
