Six ingredients of true repentance: 1. Sight of sin 2. Sorrow for sin 3. Confession of sin 4. Shame for sin 5. Hatred of sin 6. Turning from sin — Thomas Watson (1620–1686)

Hot take: A man who reads his Bible and sits in church every Sunday but won't have a hard conversation with his wife isn't leading. He's hiding.

True repentance of sin requires confession of that sin to God and one another. God commands it.

Someone told me "All men watch porn." How disgusting. And what an awful indictment of the men in their life. The men in my life hate porn, stay away from it, and police each other to keep that stuff away from us and our marriages. Maybe you need new friends.

Jordan Peterson on a truth that should humble all of us: “I’ve never seen anyone get away with anything. Not even once.” You might twist the fabric of reality for a while — bend the rules, cut corners, play games — but it always snaps back. Sometimes years later, in ways you never saw coming. That’s why “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.” Not terror, but deep respect for the order of things. You get away with nothing in the end. In a culture that increasingly celebrates short-term cleverness and moral flexibility, this is a sobering reminder that reality keeps perfect score. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. What about you — have you ever watched someone “get away with it”… only for it to catch up with them later in unexpected ways?

Don't forget—she will be somebody's passion, lover, best friend & most cherished.🌹 And now, she's offering you that opportunity. Think carefully before you turn that chance down. Sometimes, it never returns. 💔

So I opened my Bible this morning like I always do. No bookmark. No theme. No plan. Just opened it and started reading. And I about fell out of my chair. My eyes landed on a verse I have read before but clearly never felt. Isaiah 45:3 “I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.” Treasures. Of darkness. That stopped me. There are things you learn in grief you will never learn in comfort. There is authority forged in suffering that cannot be manufactured on a stage. There is intimacy with God that only grows when everything else has been stripped away. Hidden riches. Not obvious blessings. Not flashy miracles. Hidden. There is depth being built in you that applause could not sustain. The darkness is not your grave. It is your treasury. And when God brings you out, you will not just be relieved. You will be refined. You will be stronger. You will know Him in a way you never could have if the lights had stayed on. I thought I was randomly opening my Bible this morning. But Heaven had an appointment. And if you needed this today, maybe it was not random for you either💗

"Do you know that there is something more dangerous than rebellion. More deceptive than open sin. More subtle than outright unbelief. It is when you are close to truth… but far from humility. It’s the place where you know the Scriptures, but they no longer break you. Where you can quote verses, but no longer tremble at His voice. Where you stand near the light… yet your heart quietly drifts into pride. Because truth without humility doesn’t soften the heart, it hardens it. You can sit in church every week, hear every sermon, sing every song… and still be miles away from God: not in distance, but in posture. The Pharisees stood closer to truth than anyone else. They studied it, defended it, taught it. Yet when Truth Himself stood before them, they didn’t bow… they resisted. Why? Because humility is the doorway that truth walks through. And without it, even truth becomes something we use instead of something that transforms us. It’s a terrifying thought, that you can be surrounded by the things of God and still be untouched by the heart of God. Humility says, “Lord, search me.” Pride says, “Lord, I already know. and thank You I am not like them and will never be like them” as the Scripture says, be careful lest ye fall. Humility kneels. Pride compares. Humility listens. Pride corrects. And the scariest part? Pride often wears the mask of “being right.” But being right without being low before God is a dangerous place to live. Because God is not looking for people who simply know the truth, He is looking for hearts that tremble at it. So today, don’t just ask, “Am I hearing the truth?” Ask, “Is truth humbling me?” Because the safest place you can be is not just near His Word… ...but low at His feet ❤️‍🔥"
