Tinubu becoming the president exposed the bigotry and hypocrisy in a whole lot of Nigerian elites.

Damn… sex has to be the most boring and pedestrian reason to cheat. You cheated for sex? Just sex? Not because you found someone who truly understood you… Not because you were mentally or spiritually fulfilled… Not because you finally felt heard or seen… Just sex?

Living abroad can be so depressing, bro. Your social life drops by 80%, and your entire existence starts revolving around work, bills, and immigration. This is why most of us just want a working Nigeria🤦🏾‍♂️

Voting alone isn’t enough this election. You have to be ready to defend your votes. We saw the counting APC did during their primaries. They have the advantage in the general elections, and knowing they don’t care about your emotions, they’d try to repeat that shameless act.

Imagine the rubbish she’s proud of… She can’t afford 2k for data, she had to forcefully collect that from a man. So 42,000 naira is what you refer as gold digging, Poor girls are not hard to know, I wonder if the 40k is even for hair. Hungry girl. God forbid I advise my male friend to keep a woman like you.
Remi@Miss_Oluremi

The day he told me he had only 50k left in his account, I made sure I collected 42k from it. 40k for my hair, 2k for data. He was reluctant, but I told him he would survive. Men always do.

I clocked something.. Rent is always paid for, nobody notices that the DSTV subscription hasn’t gone off since, nobody notices that the kids haven’t stayed home since they started schooling, nobody notices how the cooking gas is always filled when it finishes, notice how there’s always light in the house even with the crazy units, there’s always fuel in gen when there’s no light. Nobody appreciates the Man SPECIALLY for all these.. it’s seen as “that’s his job”.. he gets no special props for it. . . . . But the moment you ask why there’s no food in the kitchen and/or why the kitchen is dirty.. It becomes “You think it’s easy to cook and clean, appreciate and support her” Women want appreciation, support and incentives for their roles, while a Man wanting support for his own role is “not Man enough”. + When the Man supports her role, “He’s doing it for his family” When the Woman supports his role, “She’s doing it for HER MAN”(and not for the family) These are the issues… Men need to clock so many things and start speaking up more to regulate these narratives… we can’t continue keeping quiet.. na beg I dey beg una.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.” — Nelson Mandela Yesterday, the global community marked the International Day of the Boy Child. For me, it was a day of sober reflection on the future of the boy child in a nation like ours, where the horrible spate of insecurity, mass abductions, hunger, and inadequate investment in health and education constantly jeopardise the lives and futures of our children. It is generally believed that our children are the leaders of tomorrow, and rightly so. However, one wonders how our children will lead society tomorrow if we fail to secure their lives and future today. From severe hunger and malnutrition to a lack of basic education and primary healthcare; from worsening levels of insecurity and mass abductions to alarming rates of moral decadence in society—the boy child faces numerous existential challenges from birth. For him to become a responsible and productive member of society, the boy child must be given a sound basic education, empowered with productive skills, and mentored with the right progressive values that help build a better society. In the words of Frederick Douglass: “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” We must stop the neglect and abuse we unleash on our boy children and begin to secure their lives and invest in their future for the sake of our collective future as a nation. As I have always maintained, the society we abuse today will take its revenge on us tomorrow. And to every boy child out there: do not give up on your dreams. We are on a journey toward building a nation that not only secures your life and invests in your future, but also helps you grow and fuels your dreams so that you can embrace global opportunities that match your talents and aspirations. Happy International Day of the Boy Child. A New Nigeria is POssible! -PO
