“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! - Amos 9:13 -14

The Red Sea Film Foundation returns to Cannes for its annual Women in Cinema gala — spotlighting trailblazing talents from the Arab world, Africa, and Asia. This year, we’re proud to spotlight Genevieve Nnaji, a Nigerian actress, producer, and one of the leading figures in African cinema. Widely regarded as a pioneer of Nollywood’s global expansion, she has built a career defined by critical acclaim, commercial success, and cultural impact. She made her directorial debut with Lionheart, which became the first Nigerian film acquired by Netflix and was selected as Nigeria’s submission to the Academy Awards. Beyond her work on screen, Nnaji is a producer committed to advancing the quality, reach, and global positioning of African storytelling. Her influence spans film, culture, and industry development, making her one of the most recognized and respected voices shaping the future of Nollywood today. #RedSeaFilmFoundation #RedSeaIFF #WomenInCinema

OLANNA (Kissing is FUNDAMENTAL to ROMANCE)
Rush Hour I loved him so much in it. I want to post clips from it, because he was so adorable in it. I loved his portrayal of a proud Igbo businessman, that was still somewhat timid and vulnerable. It is a rarely seen portrayal of Igbo men. Alexx played those men brilliantly.

@OlannaOli There was one he did with Sandra Okunzuwa and was released after Afamefuna. It’s on prime.

@SteadyStreams24 Oh yes! They do it a lot. Import characters, fail to localise them and fall flat with unrealistic dialogue

@josiah_japheth And start focusing on what matters. Because imagine Osaz leading 2 films at the AMVCAs but the films were not the topic.
