I think people should do a test to see whether or not a character is iconic by thinking "If I asked a random person on the street, could they identify this character?"

I genuinely think it’s time Peppy and Slippy became playable in smash. They’re arguably the most iconic Nintendo characters not yet playable (alongside Toad & Dixie Kong). Yeah they wouldn’t be that unique, but 2 more lower effort characters is fine. They’re arguably overdue.
