The #vision: A European Campus Card
How this can be implemented and made available to all institutions was the topic of presentations held by #EUGLOH members from @lunduniversity, @LMU_Muenchen and @UPorto at the ECCA #Conference in Warsaw.

@jugmac00 @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @nedbat @faassen @driscollis Hallo Jürgen, I fully agree with you that a 100% CC has it benefits, especially in the case you described here. If that was the intention of you talk, than I did not get it from the video. I thought more of an answer to junior programmers asking which percentace to aim for.
English

@_Pumukel_ @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @nedbat @faassen @driscollis Alex, in my lightning talk I wanted to show my initial motivation for going for 100% - and that is to prevent both calculation errors and remove the need I need to check whether each line was covered before and after an external contribution, especially in open source projects.
English

Oh wow... this was quick! @PyOhio already uploaded my lightning talk! It is about code coverage and it features @ramalhoorg, @unclebobmartin, @pganssle, @nedbat, @faassen, @driscollis and many more!

What Is a Reasonable Percentage for Code Coverage and Why Is It 100%? by @jugmac00 #PyOhio2022 youtu.be/C1hO0naoU8I
English

@nedbat @jugmac00 @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @faassen @driscollis So when there is no functional benefit on writing tests for a specific function, a code coverage of 100 % is only reached if the function is called or executed as part of another test.
If you start creating a new software design/API do you need to write test just for 100% CC?
English

@nedbat @jugmac00 @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @faassen @driscollis Turn it the other way, in Java for example, the usage of getter and setter methods are common and encouraged. As for most cases these are generatable boilerplate code that works out of the box 100 % of the time, why write special test cases for those.
English

@jugmac00 @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @nedbat @faassen @driscollis @nzupan discribed the facts much more in detail in his talk "Beyond 100% test coverage" youtube.com/watch?v=AvqtOw… slideshare.net/zupo/beyond-10…

@jugmac00 @PyOhio @ramalhoorg @unclebobmartin @pganssle @nedbat @faassen @driscollis @jugmac00 you are right 100% is the aim, but I think you still missed the point why. 100% code coverage is important for interpreted languages like Python, as it shows that the code could run. But 100% code coverage does not mean that it is free of errors.
