The Cowboys offense and pitching were outstanding in an 11-4 victory over Little Elm at Cowboy Field Wednesday night! Drew Minnick (@minnick_drew ) earned the win, allowing only a single earned run on 3 hits while going 6 innings and striking out 4. The Cowboys offense exploded for 12 hits, led by Riley Bishop (@_Riley_11_ ) who was 3 for 4 with a double and 6 RBI on the night. Cain Frosk (@CainFrosk_ ) was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Cason Broom (@Cason_Broom ) was 2 for 4 with a double, and Mason Trichel (@MasonTrichel ) was 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Cowboys. The Cowboys found themselves in another extra inning affair Friday night, as they defeated Little Elm 3-0 in 11 innings! The pitching was again dominant, with starter Jackson Floren (@jacksonfloren9 ) going 8 innings, striking out 6 and holding the Lobos to a single hit. Reliever Aaron Malick (@AaronMalick42 ) went the final 3 innings, striking out 4 and allowing 1 hit to earn the win. The Cowboys offense broke through for 3 runs in the top of the 11th. Riley Bishop’s (@_Riley_11_ ) bases loaded sacrifice fly scored Cason Broom (@Cason_Broom ) for the winning run, and Joaquin Oaxaca (@joaquin_oaxaca ) followed with a double off the wall for 2 RBI to round out the scoring. The Cowboys will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Rockwall for a 12:00 non-district game with the Yellowjackets. Go Cowboys!! #NextManUp #CFND @CoppellSports1

The Cowboys picked up a huge District win on Friday night in another pitcher’s duel at Cowboy Field, 1-0. Two Cowboys pitchers combined for the shutout, with Jackson Floren (@jacksonfloren9 ) earning the win in another outstanding start, allowing only 3 hits while going 5 innings and striking out 2. Aaron Malick (@AaronMalick42 ) was again strong out of the bullpen earning the save while striking out 4 of the 7 batters he faced, allowing only 1 hit over the final 2 innings. Joaquin Oaxaca (@joaquin_oaxaca ) was 1 for 3 with the game winning RBI in the second inning, driving in Riley Bishop (@_Riley_11_ ) who was 3 for 3 on the night.
