Keep in mind that these numbers are not adjusted for Performance-Pay Escalators, Rookie Contracts, Practice Squad Players, etc. Closer, more accurate numbers will come out after the Draft and closer to Training Camp.

Those of you who run mock draft simulators every day this time of year, which is the most up-to-date after free agency?

Yep, their effective cap space is ~$7M. Cash is in the neighborhood you mentioned, but can always go higher if they want. CIN can readily add both Wagner and Jordan if they desire. A Wagner signing likely means Burks leaves the room (team), so that's a $2.3M cap (and cash) savings to further offset a LB signing. Plus, the net effect on the team's Cap from signing any player would be whatever their 2025 Cap Hit is minus $1.005M due to roster (top-51/53) displacement. Here are my Wagner and Jordan projections. I think both are destined for 1-yr deals. I suspect CIN would consider using a void year if they signed either or both (similar to what they did with Riley Reiff in 2021). These guys are likely mulling multiple offers on the table, but may take their time to decide. We'll see, but CIN can make it work.

I can confirm Andre is one of the best follows on here for any Bengals Fan in here. He's one of the best on the entire site for Contract Conversations and Cap Space talks. Always enjoy the posts. Don't let this guy clown you.

@thecasualbengal @BengalScoutJoel Ahh you mean JFM where I was off by a mere $2M/yr but had the contract length and was in the nose an NAILED the exact guarantees ($42M). Go ahead and do projections for over 150+ UFAs and then keep tabs. You are a 🤡

@andreperrotta13 While I've got you here. The Bengals still have about $7-$8M in Cap and about $22M in Cash. Could they add both Bobby Wagner and Cam Jordan, and if so, what would you think those deals would look like?

@andreperrotta13 Most people would kill to be $750 off a prediction, especially for a big-time FA LB like Leo Chenal. The Safety and D-Line Rooms were the two biggest needs in FA. Not thinking the Bengals wouldn't be in play for the two Top 25 FA's is moronic.

Appreciate that. Dude makes my eyes bleed with some of the wild inaccuracies he confidently writes and opines about. He completely dismissed that CIN would even be in play for both Cook and Mafe. That's an awful prediction. That's not even a contract prediction. Then has the gall to claim my Chenal projection was bad (was a mere $750/yr off). He has no idea what he's talking about. He's a 🤡

They didn't do enough. They didn't exercise the Cap to the best of their abilities, and they missed out on players because of the terrible way they do contracts. Yeah, they signed three good players, but it's who they didn't get that makes it more frustrating and unproductive.
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report

The #Bengals are having a productive offseason. Fixing the defense was the top priority, and they’re doing just that.

This is a nightmare scenario for the #Bengals at pick #10... Who do you pick if this is the board on draft night?⬇️

@ProfessorDraft Reese is going #2 to the Jets. I won't count him in that. But if for some reason he would fall, yes, he would be a part of the Big Five.
