It’s kind of a “When it rains, it pours” situation for the Cubs tonight. Edward Cabrera leaves with an injury and the defense, a strong suit for this team, has made several errors. While it doesn’t look great right now, this team still has so much potential.

Edward Cabrera’s final line against the Brewers: - 3.0 IP - 4 hits allowed - 1 ER - 2 Ks Cabrera only allows one earned but left the game with an injury. Hopefully nothing serious.

Alex Bregman currently has 4 HRs and .686 OPS. It’s only a matter of time until the 3x All-Star and 2x World Series Champion gets going…

Moises Ballesteros has 1 hit in his last 29 ABs. This is the expected “adjustment period” where he needs to adjust to changes pitchers have made against him. It will be interesting to see how he develops with more experience, so much potential

Edward Cabrera goes for the #Cubs tonight. While he has been struggling recently allowing 23 ER over his last 39.1 IP, he has had success against the Brewers in his career. In 19.2 IP, he has a 2.29 ERA against Milwaukee. More of that tonight!

Chad Patrick came in relief for the Brewers with the bases loaded in the 8th. I understand Counsell bringing in Conforto for the left vs right matchup, but Matt Shaw is an intriguing option. In his career against Patrick, Matt Shaw is 2-4 with a Double.

At one point this season the #Cubs were 27-12. Even with that record, they reached 20 losses before getting to 30 wins. A rough stretch for this team, but there are still 113 games left to play!

Remarkable job by Ben Brown to not allow any runs there in the 4th. After an error by PCA and an infield single, Brown got the next three hitters in order. Let’s get some runs!
