It's never the loss that ends the account. It's the decision made seven minutes after the loss. You move the stop because you're sure. It doesn't come back. Now you're down three times your risk. Your confidence is gone before your capital is. And the next A+ setup comes and goes without you. Control the reaction. The account takes care of itself.

Traders want to size up before they're ready. They think bigger size means bigger profits. It does. It also means bigger mistakes. Bigger impulses. Bigger revenge trades. Size doesn't make you a better trader. It makes you more of what you already are. Fix the process first. The size will follow.

@TylerG_Capital I think if your psychology is strong high rr is definitely the way forward statistically too. If a trader ever wants to open a live account a high rr compliments it better I get your point on futures props it’s definitely easier with 1:1

Best way to trade futures is 1:1 RR Even negative RR with wide stops. It’s the absolute method. The way I trade futures and the way I trade CFD’s totally different. Don’t sleep on 1:1 RR wide stops and greater risk. Extremely powerful. Remember what protects trading psychology having a statistically higher winrate. A system you can adhere to that rewards you more often. Is far superior than a system that rewards you less frequently with larger take profit targets. You may have the same equity curve over time based on statistics and data. But your psychological equity curve is going to look vastly different even leading you to make poor decisions when losing so frequently thus deviating you from your trading model. Low RR - high win-rate on futures is key 🔑

One impulsive trade doesn't cost you $2,000. It costs you $4,000. The loss itself. Plus the two perfect setups you were too emotional to take afterwards. Every mistake costs double what the PnL says.

Most traders track the wrong scoreboard. PnL at the end of the day. Green or red. Up or down. The scoreboard that actually builds careers is different. Did I follow the process. Did I pass on the bad setups. Did I walk away when I should have.

MARCH 2026 posting now bc i'm done until april. made 12k this month and spent 1.2k to do it here is the breakdown on expenses: 12 evals x $29.55 = $354 8 performance accounts x $99 = $792 sure i made less but ROI was nice and trading has been a lot less taxing as a result :)
