Our interactive yard visits give schools & youth groups a behind-the-scenes look at the horse racing industry from equine care to careers in media, events & hospitality. Building confidence, skills & aspirations in inclusive environment. There’s a place for everyone in racing.

The experience helped demystify racing, opening it up as an accessible and welcoming space for all families — regardless of background or prior experience.

Children and parents alike learned about the horses, met the people who work in the industry, and explored the values of teamwork, care, and respect that underpin the sport.

YorkMix Family Day – Inspiring Confidence and Connection Through Racing Families enjoyed a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and get hands-on in the parade ring — experiencing the excitement and atmosphere of a real race day, with no betting required.

From trying new sports to making friends and learning to work as a team, these sessions are designed to keep young people active, engaged, and smiling throughout the holidays. Creating positive experiences, lasting memories & opportunities for every child to thrive #TakeTheReins
