@alphafox Anyone for not tipping has never worked in a restaurant. I made $2 an hour, some do this as their full time job. Restaurant should pay wait staff more? that money u don’t want to tip will go to the owner as your food will get more expensive. Less to the staff more to the wealthy

@_TheDogWalker @JayBird_531 @PayneMasaitis I agree but he’s not the solution unfortunately. And if you use FIP he has the worst of the 5. It’s obviously too early to cut Bassitt and Kittredge that’s not going to happen. Even Akin it’s way too soon. Rogers you need to be a stud. It really can only go through BY’s spot.

It’s time for prospect auditions in the rotation. This is no disrespect to Brandon Young who has pitched fine and helped us win games. But we need to figure out who of Gibson, Wells, and German can contribute in 2026. All are pitching well so the time is now to find out.

@JayBird_531 @birdlandminute @PayneMasaitis Young isn’t the problem. Bassit & Rogers are. I agree with the notion of seeing Gibson & German, Young can keep his spot. Corbin Burnes started his career in the pen, nothing wrong w cutting Kitteredge and Akin loose and pulling those 2 up, or skipping Bassit & Rogers

@JayBird_531 @birdlandminute @PayneMasaitis Nah, was 70 pitches in, must win, all the leverage relievers were well rested. Correct move. You get anything out of Rogers tomorrow and then Bradish Tuesday there’s a chance relievers are a week w/o work.

@WalterMaselli1 @mromanell They are not “ready for another tank” lots of youth and a loaded farm. It just could be the Gunnar “window” isn’t it, maybe it’s the Basallo window.

@mromanell When Houston tanked and lost 100 games for a few years in year 4 coming out of there tank they won a world championship. In year 4 of coming out a tank the Baltimore Orioles are ready for another tank. Do you get it now

@_TheDogWalker @caseybnew @DM_Rubenstein The only two guys I look at on the roster who aren't performing are Alonso and Henderson. Everyone else I just view as performing Adequately; Ward, Adley, Basallo, or they are just not a good player.

Hey @DM_Rubenstein, I know you have a lot of faith in Mike Elias, but you should know he ruined this team and its competitive window. He’s ruined baseball season for us for years. He and Sig are 95% of the problem here. Clean house.

@_TheDogWalker @relishdaddy @DM_Rubenstein It further enrages me that Elias had one goal and he came back with Kyle Gibson, Shane Baz, Charlie Morton and Bassitt. He could be serious. He chooses not to be.

@caseybnew @relishdaddy @DM_Rubenstein How is Pete not performing the orgs fault? I’m trying to understand this rationale? He’s an establish player, he can listen or not listen and nothing happens to him.

@_TheDogWalker @relishdaddy @DM_Rubenstein It’s interesting tho that Pete, an established player, comes here and blows. Is that not a sign organizational rot? Yeah, it’s on the players, but when all but 3 of them are ass that goes beyond just a shitty roster

@relishdaddy @caseybnew @DM_Rubenstein When your star players are performing well below what you would accept the trickle down is felt everywhere. I don’t blame Elias for how Pete and Gunnar are performing. The rest may be true or a snowball effect w the top guys stinking it up.

In the case of Pete, yeah... that's an established player who isn't performing up to snuff. You can probably throw Gunnar in that category, too. Aside from that, I think you're just looking at a roster that is not good - especially on the pitching side. Who is not carrying their weight? I think Trevor Rogers probably just stinks. Same with Baz. Same with Bassitt. Colton Cowser is a terrible baseball player. Coby Mayo is a terrible baseball player. Same with Blaze Alexander, Jeremiah Jackson, and others. I just think this roster blows.

@relishdaddy @caseybnew @DM_Rubenstein Yes and fans also thought that as well as other players. Pete came in singing everyone’s praises. Reality, players aren’t performing. Not a GM’s fault.

@_TheDogWalker @caseybnew @DM_Rubenstein Who acquired the players? If I'm correct, I think the only holdovers from before Elias was hired are Mountcastle, Akin, Bautista(IL) and Kremer. This is his roster; touted as a "elite pipeline of talent."

@_TheDogWalker @relishdaddy @DM_Rubenstein Both can be true. Elias should have and could have went all in in 23/24 but failed to. The players need saged or some shit. Whatever organizational philosophy they have now/using computers for lineups isn’t helping the players either.

@DanClarkSports Excellent question. I don't know why he is batting either 1st or 2nd, he needs to be at 5 or 6. He's expanding the strike zone. Right now he's just a mess

It’s mid-May. This is no longer a slow start. This team is not equipped to compete, let alone in the AL East. That falls squarely on Mike Elias.

@relishdaddy @caseybnew @DM_Rubenstein I’m here for it but I don’t understand this thinking. “Competitive window”, Elias either built it or didn’t. “Botched Rebuild” how many really young players do they have? Why did we ever think this team would be good? I don’t blame Elias. I blame the players.

@KenWeinmanSport Holliday and Westburg are missing. And No one saw Gunnar having the lowest OBP on the team. It’s remarkable how bad Gunnar has been, more so than Cowser or Mayo.

Make Orioles Great Again #FireElias
#Orioles need to change up the lineup. First off sit JJ down for Blaze. Can’t afford anymore crushing double plays. This is my thought but Sig’s computer has last say. - Taveras - Ward - Gunnar - Basallo - Alonso - Adley - Mayo (Better than TON w/ RISP) - TON - Blaze

@ThirstRoundPick It’s tiring given the results. The reason it’s tracked is the league BA for hard hit balls is typically over .400.

I understand things like this are interesting to some people and no shade on Jake who is just reporting it but I literally do not give a single fuck about how hard a guy who is hitting .170 hit a ball.
Jake Rill@JakeDRill

Coby Mayo's 7th-inning single had an exit velocity of 116.5 mph, per Statcast. It's the highest exit velo on a batted ball by the 24-year-old in his 140-game MLB career. (Orioles couldn't capitalize as they left runners on 2nd and 3rd when Gunnar Henderson struck out.)

Tommy Pham is a good clubhouse guy, so I actually like this deal. This team desperately needed a veteran presence someone who’s going to hold everyone accountable.
