Alternative dice faces: you know of or have any dice with alternative numbering? Points, numbers, lines, digits…? Depending on the game I think this is a great way of integrading world building elements, as long as usability is fine #gamedev #indiedev #gamedesign #dice #dicegame

@AaronBeedlegame @ShapesAndDreams thats a great advise imo. of course the regular „it depends“ applies. but especially separating this question from optimization is great!

@ShapesAndDreams @_TheEncounter I used to think this, but now I'm more open to the notion of it being entirely situational. There's a strong-ish bias against increasing complexity, but it can just as often lead to improvements as decreasing. You have to separate this from 'optimisation' though.
