You're not lazy. You're overwhelmed. Start smaller than you think you should 💖 For the longest time I thought I was lazy because I'd look at my messy house and just... not start Turns out that's not laziness. That's overwhelm. Your brain sees 100 things and shuts down

A clean home doesn't have to be the result of one big Sunday deep clean. It's the result of tiny resets done consistently ☺️

I finally figured out why my kitchen goes from clean to disaster in like two days. It's always ONE dish One dish sits in the sink and my brain goes "well it's already messy" and suddenly there's 12 dishes, a pan, and somehow a cutting board So now I just wash that first dish immediately. Not because I'm disciplined (I am very much not) but because keeping the sink empty tricks my brain into keeping it empty Your brain doesn't want to start the mess 🧠

@thejaybaybay I feel this. There's something about making your physical space orderly that makes your brain feel like things are under control again.

My house is already really clean but when my anxiety kicks in I swear one of the only things that helps me is busy work. Dusting and scrubbing crazy places, organizing cupboards and drawers, cleaning my fridge/freezer.
