I feel like now is a good time to put this out there. I HAVE ZERO SOURCES. I’m just as lost as all of you. I just repost what I read or hear, and try to do it so you don’t have to read and listen to a thousand podcasts. That is all. Enjoy trade season.

@AKRileyy5 Correct. But those picks will be unknown as to their position. The other picks have a lower currency value. Whereas the 2026 pick would have undoubtedly had a higher value. I’m not saying it shouldn’t have been done. I just don’t think everything needs a silver-lining.

Thinking out loud: What is the long-term plan with Zubac? He’ll be 31 by the time he’s an UFA. Do the Pacers plan to resign him? Will they attempt to trade him to risk not losing him for nothing? Did the Pacers pay as much as they did for a 2 year rental?

@grz_13 No worries at all. But teams do have to think about their current and later plans. I’m simply asking about their later plans. 2.5 years from now.

@TCPW21 I don’t like this way of thinking. If you don’t need $100, it might be worthless to you, but it’s not “worthless in the trade market.” It’s still an asset.

@_TradeDeadline Mathurin wasn’t getting paid so he was worthless to us. So we gave up 2 firsts for Zubac which is not that much so I don’t get the freak out.

@Goat77397306 Wilson as well. I was mostly intrigued to see if Wagler had creeped up on anyone’s boards. I’d say I’m 95% Wilson, 5% Wagler. Letting the rest of the year pan out. But I think I’ll stay in favor of Wilson.

@BDOT317 Fair question. I think if they win the chip, all criticism goes away. That said, would we then call it a championship or bust decision? I’m not sure I’d go that far either.

Every fan base will force a silver-lining. It’s human nature. The Bucks fans did it for the longest time with Myles Turner. I don’t want to be a part of doing the same. Two things can be true: The Pacers overpaid and The Pacers got a very good center for the next 2 years

My only request is that we stop saying “3 years” when referring to Zubac’s deal. For all intents and purposes it’s 2 years. Zubac could sit this entire year and that would make us happier, I would assume (higher chance at a better pick). So let’s just call it 2 years, not 3.

@_TradeDeadline I think that there is no scenario you trade this pick for someone the caliber of Trey even though I love him. Also I’m just having fun my bad if it came off like a dig or something

Hypothetical: Pacers get the number #1 overall pick. You can either draft the pick or trade a package of Toppin/McConnell and Jarace Walker along with the pick for Trey Murphy. Which do you do?
