I theorize that this sound track here is the soundtrack that will play when Homelander is dying in The Boys Season 5 Episode 8,
The solemn tone in the song just hits you like a train, this is Homelander dying an agonizing death, he’s scared and he knows he is not a god he’s just a human who got lucky with a serum that gave him powers and now he has no powers. Butcher is definitely delivering that final blow given by how the sound track ends.

What I was personally expecting:
— The Boys somehow storm or destroy Vought Tower & it frees Soldier Boy.
— SB helps The Boys one last time.
— MM hates the idea, because he hates Soldier Boy’s guts.
— When it’s all over, MM & Soldier Boy get a dedicated scene together.

“Knowing that that was going to be Jensen’s last scene in the series, we wanted to put in one last reference [to Supernatural]… Now, Soldier Boy is there forever. [Homelander’s father] will always be there, sleeping and won’t talk back. That’s a big win for Homelander.”

Huge fan of Jensen and the character he's created in Soldier Boy, & even though I'm disappointed that he won't be in the finale, that's how it should be.
I hope the finale satisfies the fans & makes them happy, & I'm glad at least the unfair hate train on Jensen ends here.
