From what I gather though the rave was for 13+, people still turned up mostly naked or on fetish gear, and somehow that's the parents fault? Thats obviously the cons fault, and the fault of anyone going mostly naked or in fetish gear to a 13+ event. If the kids were in the 18+

I see discourse is gonna be popping up again after TFF having children at a rave with people in fetish gear... Furcons really need to decide what kind of con they want to be and stop trying to mix the two. Nothing wrong with being 18+ or family friendly, but not together.

@_Tygs_ Asking furries not to sell sex art and fetish gear is a tall order. Last handful of cons I was at was almost exclusively sex stuff with a minority of it being sfw. Bad dragon was a special guest vendor

I was taken advantage of at my very first con back in 2017 when I was just 14 years old, which resulted in being groomed for roughly 3 years. Cons really should be 18+ only, not because we hate minors, but because we want to keep them safe.

@Fr0stybit3s @Vaalrein_Hyena As someone who's been going to cons for almost 20 years - they don't have to, and I've been to plenty that weren't publicly sexual like many are now. You can have both, it's not difficult. You can just hold a family friendly one if that's what some people want.

Fetish can be just be a general obsession, but almost nobody uses the term like that. Still don't mean it's a fetish for all.
