@Betdirect2 @onu_slim Cowrywise emergency fund new policy is now a full 24 hours after you request withdrawal. They said it's for security purposes though.

PiggyVest vs Cowrywise. PiggyVest started as a savings app that added investments. Cowrywise started as an investment platform that added savings. That difference tells you where each one is strongest before you even open the app. Current rates PiggyVest: PiggyBank - 18% per annum. SafeLock - up to 22% per annum, paid upfront the moment you lock. Cowrywise: ARM Money Market Fund currently yielding approximately 24 to 26% annually. Returns move daily with CBN MPR. Let me is this instance: If you save on N500,000 over 12 months PiggyVest SafeLock at 22%: N110,000 interest. Total: N610,000. Cowrywise Money Market at 24%: N120,000 interest. Total: N620,000. Cowrywise Money Market at 26%: N130,000 interest. Total: N630,000. Cowrywise wins on return. The gap is real and it compounds. The math on N1,000,000 split across both N500,000 in PiggyVest SafeLock at 22%: N110,000. N500,000 in Cowrywise Money Market at 25%: N125,000. Combined return: N235,000 on N1,000,000 in 12 months. That is money working while you sleep. Liquidity PiggyVest SafeLock cannot be broken before maturity. Breaking it means forfeiting every kobo of interest earned. That is the point. It protects you from yourself. Cowrywise Emergency Plan lets you access funds within 24 hours if life happens. More flexible. Dollar savings PiggyVest Flex Dollar pays up to 7% per annum. Cowrywise dollar mutual funds offer comparable or slightly better yields. Check both on the day you are ready to move. Minimum to start Cowrywise accepts as little as N1,000 in naira funds or $10 in dollar funds. PiggyVest has no meaningful barrier either. You can start both today regardless of how small your capital is. Security Cowrywise is SEC regulated with funds held by Zenith Nominees. PiggyVest is CBN licensed and insured. Both are legitimate. Neither is a scheme. My verdict Use PiggyVest SafeLock for emergency funds, short term goals, and financial discipline. The upfront interest and lock feature are genuinely powerful. Use Cowrywise for investment capital you want earning maximum naira returns inside a regulated mutual fund with real asset managers behind it. The smartest move is not choosing between them. It is using both intentionally with different roles in your portfolio. Rates are dynamic and move with CBN decisions. Always confirm current rates on both apps before committing capital. Not financial advice.

@Betdirect2 @onu_slim It depends on the fund manager. Some in a few hours after you apply for redemption, Others within 24 hours. Most won't liquidate immediately your regular bank account would.

My mom was sentenced to die for killing my dad, and for six years, no one believed she was innocent. But minutes before the execution, my little brother hugged her and whispered: “Mom… I know who hid the knife under your bed.” ....

@soma___chi Others will rationalize it internally & move on. Some would rather talk a few days later & would relate with you like nothing happened. Understanding your partner is key, and not expecting them to act as you would expect them to.

@soma___chi I think people need to know their partners and their history. All this expecting the partner to yell & talk when issues sup may not work for everyone. Some people would rather not say anything when they are angry because they will prefer silence

I remember not talking to my then partner over a very little misunderstanding. We didn’t speak for a whole day. I was crashing out while all he cared about was a Barca match. I finally summoned the courage to call because I couldn’t bear it anymore. All he said was, “I’m not angry with you, I’m actually fine.” And I felt so bad because… what do you mean you’re fine? He broke up with me almost immediately after, over nothing. It was so easy for him. Very easy. God forbid I marry a man who chooses silence over communication. It feels like emotional abuse. As someone with severe anxiety, silence automatically makes me feel hated or unwanted because how can you say you love someone and still shut them out completely? People who give silent treatment don’t always realize how deeply it hurts others. There are certain things we really need to unlearn, not because it’s convenient, but because we shouldn’t unintentionally hurt the people we claim to love.

UBA made billions in profit but NO dividend for shareholders? 🤬 Bought the bank, held the stock, got nothing. I'm not a growth investor, I'm all for income. Bad loans provisions? That's management's job. Stop rewarding failure. #UBA #NGX

If you want to really, really stay at the top and flawlessly eat in the financial services industry, you need to have a very solid knowledge and understanding across these four cardinals: ✑ Understanding macroeconomics ✑ Knowledge of finance ✑ Understanding how businesses work and the various types of business models ✑ Knowledge of accounting It is like combining economics, finance, business admin, and accounting into one.

@oluwadamisi Some people are saying that the current crop of investors are in it for the money, and I'm wondering, when has anyone ever bought stocks because they like the MD? It's all about the money.

UBA should have realized that the current crop of investors on the NGX are far smarter and more savvy than generations past... Access to information is at our fingertips than ever before. We now make use of tools such as LLM's that didn't exist 5 years ago, and financial literacy is improving at a very high & impressive rate. So give us some credit & don't treat us like E-idiots that don't know their left from their right. You goofed when you failed to report the FY 2025 situation early, like a responsible institution should, to her shareholders so they can make informed decisions on whether or not to move their money or ride the storm with you. You added insult to the injury yesterday by trying to use paid influencers.. "To do what exactly?" What was the plan? To sway folks that put hundreds of thousands or, in some cases, millions of their hard earned NAIRA on a stock they believed will perform??? Una no try at all...

@gentlemanway007 I don't think you should decide for anyone the kind of investor they want to be. It's not a community event. Income investors value dividends, they saw growth stocks but chose dividend stock instead. Don't try to sway them.

For example, look at Alphabet in the US market. For years, despite how big and profitable they became, they did not pay dividends. They focused on reinvesting into the business, expanding, and dominating their industry. It was only in 2024 that they started paying dividends. Same thing with Meta. For years, no dividends. Just growth, reinvestment, and scaling. Even now, the dividend is small because the priority is still growth. That is why they are giants today. Meanwhile, in our market, it is always dividend, dividend, dividend, as if that is the only measure of value. Many companies in NGX should focus more on growth and reinvestment instead of rushing to pay dividends. Build stronger businesses first, then reward shareholders later. Let these companies grow. That is how we will see real, sustainable growth in our market.
Mudi@MudiTheInvestor

Why are so many people upset that UBA missed dividend for FY 2025? A man whose house is on fire doesn’t chase rats. We’ve seen companies like Nestlé suspend dividends because their books weren’t in order. NB, Cadbury, Dangote Sugar have all faced tough periods too. But suddenly, UBA is the problem? If you can’t stand the heat, leave the kitchen. We’ll buy you out. Push the price lower, please.

Ever since I got a side guy, I finally became the "perfect" wife my husband always wanted. I don't nag anymore. I don't check his phone. I don't care if he comes home at 3 AM or 3 PM. As long as the bills are paid and the kids are good, I’m smiling. The bitterness is gone. The anger has evaporated, and my blood pressure is now normal l. I used to cry when he’d throw his little jabs or insulting words at me. Now I just nod, do the chores, and think about the man who actually knows how to treat me. I’m not the "sad, bitter wife" anymore. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and we are both happy in this marriage.

Dangote Fertiliser just raised $750 million from international investors through a 5-year Eurobond priced at 7.75%. Bank of America and JP Morgan arranged the deal. To put that in context, Nigeria’s own government issued a Eurobond in November 2025 at 8.75% and 9.5%. A private company from Nigeria just borrowed cheaper than the federal government. On its first ever bond issuance. That tells you everything about how much international investors trust this business. Cement. Refinery. Crude oil production. Fertiliser. And now tapping global capital markets at rates governments can’t match.

I think Pep Guardiola has created a sense of a false normal for many people. You don’t think coaches walk into their first senior jobs and win 6 trophies. Do you? He’s the one who’s been able to do it and we may never see anyone do it again. Coaches go through crazy phases before they become. Most of them don’t end up becoming elite. It’s a hard step. Most coaches will end their careers without winning anything, but they’d have done fantastic jobs. If Guardiola is your standard for rating any manager, you’re not a serious person.

🚨Arsène Wenger on the Sir Alex Ferguson & Pep Guardiola debate: 🗣️ Wenger: "Look, you have to deeply appreciate both of these elite managers and everything they have done for football. They are exceptional minds who have elevated the game. But when people make this comparison, you must point out that they operated in two completely different eras.” “Sir Alex and I, we were in the same era. We fought those battles face-to-face for many years. And the reality is that Sir Alex wasn’t given tons of resources to succeed. He had to build the foundation of his club himself. This is a stark contrast to Pep, who has had all the money in the world with unlimited spending to bring his exact vision to life.” “I say this not to diminish Pep Guardiola’s legacy at all. He is brilliant. In fact, Guardiola might equal Sir Alex’s record for league trophies in 12 fewer years as a manager, which is a staggering achievement. But when you look at the entirety of what Sir Alex built and sustained from the ground up, his greatness is simply unmatched especially when it comes to relying on academy graduates to win the biggest trophies, year after year.”
