I hate the people on this app sometimes. They talk like they know what’s going on but they have no clue. The type of tweets I’ve seen by people with large followings are the reason why some of y’all never make it. Going to be purging a lot of people I follow very soon.

For those that would like to see why I would take $2M off the bat heres the math behind the reasoning. (Basic Time Value of Money Calculation) (Figure 1). This is just using basic future value function. After 20 years the $2M initially taken would be nearly double the amount of the $10k monthly payments in that same amount of time. Obviously yes, I know that sometimes investments can go against you, but the average return on the market is still around 10% a year. (Figure 2). Holding all things constant, it would take nearly 120 years for the $10K monthly payments to ever outpace the $2M account value. Idk about you but I don’t think any of us are living for 120 years.
