In 2023, more than 26,000 people were injured or killed on London’s roads. That’s why it’s so encouraging to see positive steps in @TfL’s Vision Zero Action Plan 2 👏 Lower speeds, safer streets, less traffic — we know what works. Now we need real follow-through.

We know endless consumption is harmful, yet ads keep pushing new gadgets while repair & reuse are ignored. If we want the circular economy to thrive, we need to change not just what we do with stuff, but also the systems that encourage endless buying.

Local oil isn’t a strategy. It’s a distraction. The government’s focus shouldn’t be on making fossil fuels last longer. It should be on moving faster toward a clean energy system.

The price of getting around sustainably keeps climbing, while the cost of driving lags behind. If we want more people on bikes, buses, and trains, policy needs to catch up.

Repair is about more than fixing broken things. It’s about saving money. It’s about learning practical skills. It’s about building community. AND it's about protecting our planet — because every repair keeps valuable materials in use and waste out of landfill.

We don’t need bigger airports. We need fewer flights and more green, affordable travel. Investing in rail infrastructure would be a fraction of the cost of airport expansion and would make clean travel across Europe fast and affordable. No flight needed.

Switching to electric shouldn’t be a luxury for those who need to drive. EVs are often out of reach for taxi drivers, carers, and essential drivers, but affordable access for them means cleaner air, safer streets, and better options for everyone. It's time to make a change.
