@gimmebosscoffee @Sindalf It's very different imo. I can tell based off what button I pressed where I am in my combo without looking at my bar when doing 1-2-3. With 1-1-1 I cannot. I hope there is a way to do both

@Sindalf Sometimes, less is more. 1-2-3 is no different to 1-1-1. Trimming is not the same as consolidation and vice versa. Of course, we've but seen a glimpse of the Evolve style. Lets wait until all the info is out!

Rewatching the dev panel on evolved jobs and the cheering I hear when they announce combining combos into a single button is truly disheartening.

Resident Evil 7 was not a good Resident Evil game. It may have paid homage in some elements shared with a plethora of games in the genre, but it strays just as far from the original formula as Resident Evil 5 did🚀 In terms of characters and story, it was cringe and Resident Evil is ALWAYS better when it has heroes we know and love. And also, no. It did not “save” Resident Evil, as RE6 is among the best selling games in the series and its RE2 (2019) that was the return to form, and would’ve happened anyway with or without RE7 and would’ve done just as great. And trying to use this game as proof that Zach Cregger’s movie will be good, is laughable. Fight me🎤 #REBHFun

@snark_talks Completely agree. I love 14s story and raid content equally but it is a tall ask for people who don't want to engage with the story. Dawntrail is a great starting point for a new story for new players. Even Yoshida acknowledged its a lot

It’s 2026, we are gonna be 6 expansions deep into FFXIV soon. Can we stop with the weird gatekeepy behavior if someone doesn’t want to play through 250 hours of story to be able to play some of the best MMO raid encounters ever made? Heaven forbid someone asks you a small lore question if they start getting interested in the story after starting the game 10 years late. Are we really gonna keep driving people away with this weird NIMBY ritual? Just use your social skills (lol) and answer the small question, suggest they start a story alt on their downtime, or direct them to a synopsis video on YouTube. Crying about “story skippers” this deep into a game’s development cycle is peak cringe. If they set up a skip to Dawntrail for new characters to jump into the new story arc I and many others feel like it would be beneficial for the game’s long term health. While the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc is great storytelling it’s also not a sacred cow for people to clutch pearls over. At the end of the day, it’s a game to be played. We’re all better than this and should start acting like it.

@PainTheFeared @Sindalf I am scared of it because when I press 1 2 3 I can tell by feel which key I pressed last and know what part of the rotation im on without looking at my hotbar. With 1 1 1 I don't know what part of the combo im on. Thats legit my only complaint other than that evolved looks sick

@Sindalf Idk I still don’t get why people are upset about the 111 vs 123 thing they are both easy af and it’s intentionally out there due to Button bloat it happens in every game if anything the rotations can be harder due to more skills being added or they can even add more chain skills

@RathGames This could easily be solved if they made a target-self keybind, so like if you hit it while holding shift (remappable ofc) it targets you without changing targets

I do generally like the look of this but having to target myself for clemency instead of being able to cast it on the spot is going to get me killed solo content wise. That half second of delay will definitely hurt.

@theWellRedMage Completely accurate description. Arr is okay, very dated and plays way too slow. The fucking diamond that this story turns into though is something else. Can't fault people for bouncing off of it.

I'm still on the fence with this game after trying to get into it 6 or so times. On the one hand, the community can be extremely welcoming and helpful! On the other, ARR is some of the slowest, dullest, chorefest I've ever played. The "it gets better in season 2" of Final Fantasy

@Toorrnnado @PanGrosze @Method I’m playing a different game than you are. Default UI may work just fine in LFR and with Housing, but Mythic Ansurek without addons is unnecessarily handicapping yourself and fucking over your guild mates.

Resident Evil Requiem is pretty much everything what I want out of 2026 gaming - great gameplay (both POV’s) - stunning graphic and audio design - great story - completely finished game for 1 price - takes a beloved style of gameplay for a game and modernizes it (1st person Grace)
