It is a terrible thing to look at two people get married and all that is in your heart is hoping that one day it will go sour for them. Even worse, to actually pick up your phone and type that hate into a comment or a tweet. If someone else’s happiness triggers sadness or jealousy in you, that’s a clear sign you need to pray and deal with that bitterness. There is a healing you need. Because truth is — that kind of spirit takes happiness away from your own life.

Wait, if she doesn’t contribute her income to her household where else would she contribute her income to? Her income is just for herself alone? I love to be pampered too but some of you all are sick! You think marriage is the same as relationship? It’s two becomes one fgs!

The natural hair girls love to act like telling the truth about our hair is anti-black or a form of “self hate” but our hair is NUFF work. I love my hair but don’t act like it’s low maintenance.

@pst_iren Where did free speech go? He disagreed with Obi’s opinion and shared his own, yet people are attacking him. Last election, CCI urged people to vote, clearly supporting Obi—so why is criticism suddenly considered hate speech?

FINAL CLARIFICATION: 1.Any Christian who is not productive is not living by the word of God. A man who does not work should not eat (2 Thess 3:10 ) . But to insinuate that people who have regular vigils are not productive is terrible generalization. 2.Therefore, any Church that makes people pray all week long for financial blessing as opposed to encouraging them to work diligently with their hands is wrong. There are many Churches like this admittedly. LET’S HOWEVER BE CAREFUL WITH THE JUXTAPOSITION AND ADMIT THAT: 1.If Churches stopped doing vigils, there won’t suddenly be more jobs. Vigils are not the immediate problem of the Nation. 2.If there were multiple night shift options that Christians abandoned for “daily vigils” then maybe you have a point. But that’s not the case. Having an issue with frequent vigils is blaming the Church for the governments work. This is what we often do these days and that’s what I stand against. 3.People actually must not have to work night shifts to be productive. They should if they have to and if there are opportunities to. But beyond Church, there are several other things people can do with their night. Like spend time with family, socialize and sleep. People who don’t work at night shouldn’t be seen as unproductive. Again, even in more developed Countries, not everyone has to work night shifts. And if Nigeria should have more options to work at night, that’s more on the government. 4.It’s a little insensitive to ask people to work even more in a nation like Nigeria. How much is minimum wage? 5.Churches that have programs every day are not the majority. ⁃Most Churches have vigils not more than once a month. ⁃Most vigils are into the weekend. 6.Some of you don’t see the point of praying long and regularly for any reason. That’s okay. But people should reserve the right to use their free time as they choose. Night time is not ‘economic hours’. If it is not hindering the nation, it is none of your business 7.Saying “Where has prayer taken this Country” means you know little about prayer. Prayer is primarily about intimacy and communion. There is very little correlation to nation building even in the Bible. 8.I’ve seen a few tags about another Pastor who says “Dangote sells salt…don’t sleep in Church and ask God to bless you”. I absolutely agree! ⁃Context was that God won’t bless you if there is no product to bless. Don’t just pray all day and not work. ⁃A government official blaming the productivity of the nation on the Church ticked me off more, because he (and is colleagues) are to be held to account more than the Church. 9.It’s okay if you still don’t agree. Disagreeing doesn’t make us enemies. It doesn’t mean I may not support Mr PO if he chooses to run again. It doesn’t mean much of what he said was false. I had an issue with the juxtaposition, and I absolutely have the right to. 10.Apart from Watchnight service, our church has not had any global vigil this year. I’m not trying to protect anything. I’m just against correcting one extreme with another. Love and grace

I see that this video has made rounds on this platform. These days, one has to clarify everything because most of us see everything to the lenses of our bias. Few things to note. 1.For the records, I have been an avid Peter Obi supporter. I posted a picture of us on this platform. Ironically, just about a month ago, I praised him for his culture of modesty, and how Christians should emulate that. 2.There are indeed Christians who rather than working towards a great nation are ‘only’ praying that the nation “moves forward”. No amount of prayer will be substitute for productive labour, and electing the right people to lead the nation. What then is my issue with the statement? 1.To insinuate that instead of vigils we should have night shifts is a fallacy of false dilemma. Even in more developed countries, most people don’t work night shifts. Church Vigils are not the reason people don’t work night shifts. If you want more morning, afternoon or night shifts, hold the government accountable! Even then, let people do what they want to do with their personal time 2.Almost no Church holds vigils “Mondays to Fridays and both morning and night”. I know this will still fly over some heads so let me break it down; ⁃Thrice a week may be a lot but it is not everyday. ⁃Having 20 days of vigil is still not everyday. ⁃Also, most multiple meetings in Churches are had by different subgroups of people in Church and not everyone. So why say “Mondays to Friday”? It’s called a “straw man” argument- to present the worst possible scenario so you can win an argument. 3.Like I said, if the average Christian does not go to Church more than twice (or at most thrice) a week, the generalization reflects a bias. Going to the gym that many times is not too much. Socializing that many times a week is not too much. But going to Church is hurting the productivity of the nation? That is simply dishonest. If you aren’t a believer and you see no point in spiritual exercise, I understand. But even then, people should have the right to do what they want with their personal time. 4.The Church has helped the nations productivity in a tangible way. There are a lot of soft skills that are developed in Church. Music, photography, videography to mention a few. Even most of the secular artistes horned their gift in Church. This is not to discredit the person of Mr Peter Obi. I just beg to differ, which I very well have the right to as a stakeholder. I remain a supporter of his ideologies. Regards.

@pst_iren This behavior by Nigerians to simple criticism reminds what John Boyega was explaining as the reason why international studio execs don’t like working with Nigerians. We find it so hard to take criticism! I bet a lot of people didn’t even watch the clip from beginning to end.

I’ve seen people who go to reboot camp with their laptops so they can work/meet work deadlines during break time. This generation is productive and we love God wholeheartedly …. Don’t try to force any agenda on Christians, we will not look bad because of our consecration.
