This is the reincarnated page of BBRC - where you can see recent acceptances and other related committee news. It has replaced our original twitter feed which is no longer in use.

We have uploaded an updated version of our submission form to the website at bbrc.org.uk/submit-a-sight… It has a couple of new bits to fill in that will help us, mainly asking for details if it is a returning bird or considered 'same as' another sighting. Thanks.

@BBS_birds @nationaltrust This was the square in the pilot pre-BBS, doing transect routes and point counts..... It has changed so much and needs a new surveyor now

(2/8) Louise has surveyed nine different BBS squares over the last 30 years, including TL3450. She surveyed this square, which is in Wimpole, Cambridgeshire from 1994 until 2021. This square is partly on @nationaltrust land.

(1/8) The first @BBS_birds ‘Lifer’, who has surveyed at least one Breeding Bird Survey square each year since the survey began in 1994, is Louise Bacon. Louise is currently one of the @_BTO’s Ringing Officers.

It's hard to get a Shag in Cambs, but I just got lucky on the dam at Grafham Water! That's my first Shag in Cambs 😁 Also, is it my imagination or does the ring say XBJ...😂 @CambsBirdClub

The most recent BBRC report – rare birds in Great Britain in 2022 – is now available to view online for British Birds subscribers. Print copies of October’s delayed issue should be dropping onto doormats by early next week.
