Ryan Fitzgerald went 4-for-6 with 3 RBIs on Sunday and was 5-for-11 over the weekend with 5 RBIs. ⬇️So far this Season .343 AVG / .390 OBP / .483 SLG (.873 OPS) 49 hits in 32 games 31 RBIs 128 wRC+ ➡️Contact Profile: 12.2% K rate (massive improvement, VERY good!) 83.6% contact rate ➡️MLB average is 75%ish ➡️Quality of Contact: 89.3 mph avg EV + 35.7% hard-hit rate xwOBA (.397) supports that he is NOT just getting lucky. ➡️Plate Discipline His BB% is down (6.4%), but he has replaced that by gathering hits BABIP (.385) is elevated, but a 30.9% line drive rate justifies it because line drives produce the most hits. Fitzgerald is hitting .455 so far in May after a good April where he hit .310, so he started well, and is only trending UP! He's a left-handed hitter, but he is dominating lefties with a 1.128 OPS, and then he's holding his own vs RHP. ➡️Takeaway: Fitzgerald has started 2026 as a high-contact, run-producer who has made adjustments that have proven to be successful.
