That's a huge jump and like Radcliffe before it's just not sustainable.
There is no big money man at Worthing either, these figures coming out should be alarming a lot of people as to how even non-league is becoming unsustainable.

It’s not just Northern clubs losing money at grassroots level either. Worthing, currently third in National League South, had losses increase from £42k to £364k last season, taking total losses to over £784k. Club is funded by a combination of fresh share issues, loans and grants

The good news for us if we do get into trouble as this stand we have a very very wealthy larger and involved shareholder.
So as for the OG post we do have a ‘big money man’ not throwing money at it right now.
That come next season should be sustainable

I agree though on the overspend, driven by the PL.

We have made the ground NL ready and provided a budget to a capable manager, any other over spending is what’s wrong with football.

Needed if you want National League football.
It's unaffordable for most clubs Phil, look at the losses posted for any EFL club, everyone chasing dreams and balance sheets causing twitchy accountants everywhere.
Nature of football these days sadly, spend more than everyone else amd hope it pays off, reality is as we know it doesn't work 9 times out of 10.

Could be viewed as a benefactor, or a rich owner.
As to why he hasn’t covered a loss the overall company equity is still positive. So no need to pump money in as it would sit there unspent 🤷🏼♂️

A one off capital expenditure provided, so that to me isn't a club funded by a money man is it? 🤷♂️

Tbh no reason the ground needs to change as crowd wise for the size of dorking you are massively over achieving both on and off the pitch.
Anything is better than the old ground!
My 2 visits there we outnumber the home fans 😂 how time have changed

@_____Phil_____ @Lightning5432 @WorthingFC The terrace behind that goal has steps twice as deep and half as high as a normal terrace (Like our home end or the new stand at Worthing) making it 4x worse in effect. The reason for this is a height restriction to not block the view of the neighbours unfortunately

Slough Town Football Club can confirm that Wiktor Makowski has completed a permanent transfer to Worthing for an undisclosed fee. Whilst disappointed to see Wiktor leave the club, following conversations with him and his representatives in January we were aware that he had a desire to seek a new challenge in the summer upon the expiration of his contract. Therefore, the club felt it was in the best interests of all parties to explore opportunities for an earlier exit with a transfer fee. On our day we beat any team at this level, just got to hope some how we do that in the playoffs

Furthermore, they don’t understand what it means, and how us fans really just want to see a bit of passion.
