@Keegan59992745 Robert Pattinson played clones with two different personalities in the same year and was far more convincing. He didn't even need color coding

A statement from the family of Alex Pretti, obtained by CNN: "We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you."

So, CBS News decided not to air this 25 yr veteran federal agent pointing out all the ways the ICE agent was in the wrong for shooting Renee Good, on its broadcast (I wonder why🤨). At least it’s online. Reshare.

UN says it's genocide. HRC says it's genocide. PVA says it's genocide. ICJ says it's genocide. ICC says it's genocide. Anyone who knows anything about genocide says it's genocide. Everyone is lying except Israel who are committing genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Netanyahu’s extremist government is completely out of control. Not only are they starving children in Gaza, they are now breaking international law by dropping bombs on Qatar, a U.S. security partner. When is enough, enough? NO MORE U.S. MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.

I watched that entire Friedland/Torres interview and it's disgusting. Friedland practically BEGS the Congressman to just have an honest dialogue with him about these atrocities, and the guy refuses, grinning at him and slipping into familiar cable news soundbites. It's SO GROSS.

At 70 years old, Denzel Washington just reminded me why he’s one of the greatest actors in the history of film. Highest 2 Lowest (🌟🌟🌟🌟) delivered. This is a Denzel Washington performance I’ve been praying for- it’s vintage Denzel. Consider my expectations fully met, and then some. I believe Akira Kurosawa would take tremendous pride had he witnessed Spike Lee’s reimagining of his 1963 masterwork High and Low. Unlike the missteps Lee made with his 2013 reimagining of Oldboy, this film has something to say & a reason to exist. And unlike Oldboy, this time, Spike Lee brought one of the greatest actors alive with him. I pray to the Cinema Gods Spike & Denzel keep working together because they still have the juice. The same core theme that we see in Kurosawa’s High and Low exists in Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest. Denzel Washington plays David King, a music mogul & wealthy businessman who’s thrown into an unforeseeable moral quandary when the son of his driver, Paul (Jeffery Wright), is kidnapped for $17.5 million in ransom. It’s a film that ends stronger than it starts & burns slow to begin. But while Lee uses Kurosawa to sketch the outline of a beautiful drawing, it’s the pillars of Spike Lee’s four decades in Cinema that are used to color in the image: the most relevant social commentary, deft callbacks to some of Cinema’s great directors & most unforgettable shots, and constant reminders of the richness of Black history. Lee relies on this pillars to drive this film forward into an gripping last hour. The filmmaking here from Lee is jaw-dropping. New York is its own character. The style bleeds through the screen. And that world-class, historically great filmmaking style from Lee is a feast for Cinephiles & movie nerds like myself and also allows Lee to incorporate so much essential Black history into the story. But it’s the social commentary that provides the most subtext for the film- and that keeps this film moving forward. That social commentary focuses in particular on class and age. For example, the relationship between Paul and David. David has everything Paul doesn’t & everything Paul wants. But once again, David is forced into a position where he has to answer for Paul. This is Paul’s son- not David’s- but David has to cough up the $17.5 million because that’s what’s expected of him. In other words, cash is King (no pun intended) and nothing highlights that more than the relationship between Paul and David. Yet none of the social commentary that Lee paints this film with would matter if the performances didn’t bring that commentary to life. I just want to focus briefly on Jeffery Wright’s chemistry with Denzel. These are two Oscar-caliber actors sharing the screen with Spike Lee behind the camera. Every moment between Wright & Denzel is fantastic. They’re hilarious. They feel like real brothers. I just can’t stress enough how special the moments are between Wright, Washington, and Lee. Wright & Washington are in full service of Spike Lee this entire movie and you can feel it. If I have any complaints, I wanted more of these two together. But make no mistake, this movie is about Denzel Washington. Denzel is in nearly every single frame of this 2 hour and 15 minute film. He is utterly magnetic. Electric. Unspeakably charismatic. His smile still commands the screen. From the opening shot where we see Denzel working his charm on the phone- making calls & closing deals- you’re instantly reminded why this man matters so much to so many people. There are certain shots & images of Denzel in this film that will stay with me forever because we see the life-long chemistry from Denzel and Spike in real time here: close-ups, overhead shots, long tracking oners. Spike put Denzel to work & Denzel responded by being Spike’s muse from start to finish. It is a sight to behold. I just need to know why it took them 19 years to get back in the saddle together. The last thing I want to mention is that I hope everyone reading this review gets the opportunity to see this in theaters- even though I know that isn’t possible. It hurts my heart that this film isn’t being given a full theatrical release. Everyone deserves to see Spike & Denzel go to work like this & those two deserve to have their work on the biggest screen imaginable. They’re one of the greatest actor-director duos in modern film history and they deserve way more than this. Don’t ever take Spike Lee & Denzel Washington for granted.
