Idk. Y’all tripping over yourselves to argue that Trinis have been welcoming of other Caribbean music, which is true in some ways.
But as someone who travels to carnivals within the region, I think it’s more accurate to say that Trinis will listen to whatever becomes mainstream

I very pro-CARICOM but the fact that we have so much local artistes not getting play and you hearing the same Machel 59 times for the day means that the other islands go just have to accept that they not gonna hear their soca and charge it to the game.
