If my whole family ate sandwiches for every meal 3 times a day only our grocery bill would still be 800 dollars a month. To follow budgeting guidelines, I would need to make 64,000 dollars a year…to afford to only eat sandwiches. You can’t budget your way out of poverty.

Too many farmers' markets have started to resemble flea markets. I came to buy local eggs and heirloom tomatoes, not a cutting board shaped like a US state.

@__cannas__ He received some table service. The food was brought to him from the kitchen by a food runner and doesn't sound like he bussed his own table. If it's not a fast food place but you're ordering at a counter and you bus your own tray, I think a couple bucks is appropriate.

18-20% is the standard if you're seated at a table. Even if you seated yourself, if your butt is in a chair and there's a table in front of you that you will be eating off of - 18-20%.

If 2 people seat themselves at a restaurant and proceed to order a pizza and 4 cans of beer on their phone from a bar code at the table without ever interacting with a server what’s the appropriate amount of $ to leave for a tip? The food and beers were dropped off at the table.

@wtflanksteak I fully disagree with that. Dropping off a pizza at a table doesn’t even sound like it needs to be a job at this place. I’d rather just pick up the pizza from the counter than have someone else do it and be guilted into giving them $$ for it. It’s a joke

@wtflanksteak ..no. If you pick your food up at a counter and/or don’t receive table service there is no tip necessary. The local ice cream shop is asking for tips to make your ice cream now it’s ludicrous.
