Few weeks ago, VDM got Blord arrested and he spent days in custody. Both of them are financially capable of legal steps so no one would say the rich was oppressing the poor! You can say it wasn’t a defamation case, but a rich man still got locked up over it. As a reminder, Nigerian law does not treat defamation as a civil case and doesn’t plan to. If you defame someone, and they petition the police, you will be arrested, charged to court and sentenced. Either way, you will spend time in jail before making bail. Offending people because you believe they are too rich to sue you, or that you are too poor to be sued is mischievous! The only dangerous precedent I see is people weaponizing poverty to defame the rich and calling it cruise or banter.

@SangoEdi It takes a lot for someone to open to people and when someone is depressed, they shut the door from the inside. Life is fast paced and people may move on without knowing especially if they tried to reach out and they were told to leave the person alone.
