Thank God Dawn has never let the color of her skin box her in. As an indie act, she has creative freedom. Financial Freedom is another thing. So if she’s gonna make an album, she’s gonna make what pays.

The shit costs money to make. You have to pay writers, producers, engineers, photographers, distributors. Then, tours have to be funded.
