Making law is an exercise in democracy. In Sri Lanka, people are demanding laws that reflect their lived realities and aspirations - holding institutions of democracy to account.

The PTA is a terrible law. The call for repeal is steeped in a call to
- end abuse of power,
- end laws that create unchecked presidential/police power, &
- end impunity
Repealing it is a commitment to accountability, to change and to 'never again'.
