How settler traits work in Settler's Domain, the strategy settlement building game I'm developing: Each settler may have up to 4 traits. They give various bonuses, sometimes being as simple as a stat boost (+5 Energy), other times more complex (Blessed, in the screenshot below, makes the settler generate 25% more resources). There are 5 tiers of traits: common, uncommon, rare, extraordinary, and legendary. In the game, there is also the ability for two settlers to have a child. When this happens, there are some "genetics" that determine the child's stats/traits. The primary example is that when two parents share a trait, their child is guaranteed to be born with that trait. This makes it very fun and exciting when you manage to get two settlers that share powerful traits. #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev #citybuilder

I'm developing Settler's Domain to be a relaxed settlement building game that still requires thoughtful and strategic choices. You can play at 1x, 2x, 5x, and 10x speeds, and pause whenever you want. I'm trying to take as many of the "micro-managey" actions out of the game as possible so players can focus on choices that are impactful, such as building, researching, and interacting with other settlements. Or you can just watch your settlers run around. #indiegame #gamedev #citybuilder #pixelart

@__rick________ Also, small feedback/opinion from me: colors should be slightly tweaked. It's much nicer when the ground has more green and the green is a stronger shade and not "washed out"

While making GlagStone, I was inspired by late-80s Macintosh aesthetics — monochrome screens, tiny windows, dense little menus, and early city builders like SimCity on classic Mac. @yabsssai @jettelly Hi, not sure I understand the question, but population growth in Settler's Domain does effect your resource economy significantly, since you are able to harvest more resources, but also need to consume more to keep your settlers alive
