@iam_preethi I’ve raised 3 batches of baby goats over the last few years and every single time the newborns that don’t get colostrum (even if they get milk) either pass within 2 days or need it supplemented. How, after millennia of farming, can humans think their babies DON’T need it????

In 50 out of 120 cultures studied, newborns never received colostrum. Mothers were told it was dirty, poisonous, and contaminated. They threw it out and gave their baby sugar water or honey instead. They were throwing away the most concentrated immune transfer a mother's body can make. Colostrum is loaded with secretory IgA that coats your baby's gut with protective antibodies. It has white blood cells. It has growth factors that help your baby's immature intestinal lining develop. UNICEF calls it a baby's first vaccine. That's exactly what colostrum is.
