My review of @SGJ72‘s “The Only Good Indians” via @LitReactor. You keep reading even while parts of you scream to stop. litreactor.com/reviews/review…

@tadethompson @nerinedorman @LitReactor @johnfdtaff @AuthorZKnight @AureliaLeoCo @AfroSF @chineloonwualu @africansfs And my apologies again for suggesting all Africans are Black. Specific language is important here and I’m missing the mark left and right. This particular anthology is composed of Black authors, which is where the confluence comes from.

A landmark first: an anthology featuring stories written exclusively by authors from Africa and the African Diaspora. And some damn good ones, at that. #dominion

@tadethompson @LitReactor @johnfdtaff @AuthorZKnight @AureliaLeoCo @AfroSF @nerinedorman @chineloonwualu @africansfs My aim is to learn and be a better ally, which is why I felt it was important for me to read Dominion. I am sorry that words I’ve written have betrayed that ultimate goal and inadvertently erased important works by Black authors. I promise to do better going forward. 3/3

@tadethompson @LitReactor @johnfdtaff @AuthorZKnight @AureliaLeoCo @AfroSF @nerinedorman @chineloonwualu @africansfs I, like so many Midwest America white dudes, am woefully blind to the literature of people of color. I say this not as an excuse but as an admittance of guilt, an acknowledgement of a problem, but one that can be solved, a bad course I can correct. 2/3

Sequels are a tricky thing to pull off, but @JoshMalerman did it quite well. Review via @LitReactor and me: litreactor.com/reviews/review…

The good news is strong today! Welcome back @apexmag

Incredible. We've reached our funding goal. I'm astonished, quite honestly. So this means we'll be opening to submissions in the next day or two. And that we will work toward stretch goals to fund the other four issues coming out in 2021!

Looking for cosmic horror with a middle finger raised directly at the bigoted poster child for the subgenre? #lovecraftcountry is great, but let’s talk about Victor LaValle‘s The Ballad Of Black Tom first litreactor.com/columns/excite… @LitReactor
English

@helpfulsnowman Part VI. It’s meta, funny, and plenty violent without any exploitative nudity (or nudity of any kind for that matter)

It’s time for the bastion of unchecked racism that is Native American sports mascots to end. It’s 20-goddamn-20. How is this still a thing? #TheTimeIsNow
