@SubinSiby @jan53n Both are caching servers actually. And it lives in an ISP we all know. As far as I know, the only NOC in Kannur is for that ISP (there might be more). And I remember this maintenance activity because I was on call with a person working on this then and he told me to call me later

@SubinSiby Yep. Those are way near ISP's POPs (point of presence)/NOC. I have worked on way back in 2021 and 2022.

@jikkujose It is not only for iPhone, it is the same for android as well. The VPN connection is only supposed to connect the phone to the tunnel. The tethered connection is bridged directly to celluar data.

TIL: Tethered cellular sharing in iPhone doesn’t honour VPN settings to connecting devices! Can’t understand who thought this was a good idea.
