It’s been a really crummy couple of weeks in the human dignity space. Illinois’ governor signed the assisted suicide law and New York’s governor has voiced she’ll do the same. Assisted suicide is dangerous and discriminatory, and it’s slowly but surely expanding in the US.

Began my journey to a PhD today & am just incredibly thankful for the Lord’s guidance. The journey to this point has been tumultuous at times, but the Lord’s timing & plan is perfect. Looking forward to the next 3-ish years of study. All for His glory & the good of others.

On this day in 1853, Lilias Trotter was born. This prayer of hers demonstrates her devotion to the Lord. I’m so grateful that God allows us to learn from faithful believers even centuries before us, and gives us prayers, hymns, and stories, that grow our affections for Christ!

Some personal news: I’ve been accepted in to the University of Aberdeen’s PhD in Divinity program (distance learning)! My focus will be on the life and ministry of Lilias Trotter. Looking forward to beginning this fall, Lord willing!
