@annstringer I think this is basically right but I worry I’ll be on an endless search for a trustworthy dentist that may not exist.

I went to a new dentist today who, after looking in my mouth, asked if I smoked (I do not). Can a dentist really not tell whether someone smokes? I’m pretty sure he was trying to neg me into whitening my teeth. Should I look for a different dentist or am I being too sensitive?
