Is it madness to try and combine an entomology course with a hands-on molecular sequencing/tree-building course? Maybe if I don't try to cover ALL the orders the way we would in a true Gen Ent course but go with the mega-diverse friends that end up in my Malaise traps?

@AndrewLRhyne Thanks! Yea, I know of many aquarists here, but I was hoping to get some specimens where some of the background info is known (known to be from different colonies, know the original collection location)

@_ashore_ You have a large aquarium community near you. I’d look for a local reef hobby club, I’m sure plenty of hobbyists have corals growing out of the water that try can give you clippings of. If you want wild colonies or large aquacultured colonies let me know and I can help you.

@LauraDMydlarz We went with a local vendor. Island Fish and Reef. They really did a great job but I'm not sure if they'll do anything outside of Long Island
