@exoZafar @PlanetaryGao @ExoplanetPete The refraction regime you're in is actually similar to that for M dwarf planets! And the stellar activity is good for understanding how that impacts exoplanet observations because we know the ground truth for earth transit and solar activity and can test our methods!

Naturally we also looked at phase/hotspot offset and phase curve amplitude vs. equilibrium temperature compared to models from two different groups. Excitingly our new population (dark points) matched amplitude predictions well! 2 look to be cloudy and 3 are maybe clear? (10/)

Another interesting trend: We see large scatter within our 1300K sample (dark points in fig) in apparent heat redistribution vs. equilibrium temperature. This tells us a third parameter is important, but what is it? We look at offset, period, gravity and none explain it. (9/)
