Consequently, the Smart City team must now find alternative land to replace the parking space, while the total project cost has climbed to nearly ₹65 crore. Following the backlash, the Chief Engineer of Setu Nigam has promised an on-site inspection to investigate the revised design and hold the responsible officials accountable.
