BREAKING: Evansville has hired Miami (OH)’s Ben Wierzba as their next head women’s basketball coach, sources told @On3. Wierzba was on the men’s basketball staff from 2007-10 and has 24 years of coaching experience between men’s and women’s basketball.

Since 2010 there have been 12 boys and 12 girls from southwestern indiana selected to the Indiana All Star teams. combined that is 6% out of 408 players. from an area that represents 20% of the state. The talent is here. The rest of the state doesn’t recognize it.
