Something I don’t really understand either is the fact that Pete Russell is head coach, despite having another coaching role domestically.
Surely it’s a conflict of interest, no?
Wouldn’t the team be better having a proper head coach, purely employed for GB?

@PolandHockey @4000AndCounting I looked at French specifically and I think there are a couple of reasons
1) minimum of 10 home grown players, as opposed to a maximum of 15 imports like EIHL - that means coach recruitment starts at home
2) EIHL has stricter home grown criteria, probably minimal impact tho

@_beaconsandwich @4000AndCounting I went by passport status for all leagues. Not every league considers imports the same (ie Belarus would be lower as they don’t consider Russians imports), and there are various reasons for that, but I wanted to mostly compare national team eligible players per league.

@SteelerJb I think you’re missing the key issue - Tansey's beard. As soon as him and his beard departed ways over the Christmas period, things started going downhill.
Beating Panthers on Boxing Day was the last game where Kevin was fully bearded.

The Fife Flyers 🏴 have announced the re-signing of Captain, Garet Hunt, in a player/assistant coach role! This season, the 38 year old played 55 games and recorded 3 goals, 15 assists, 174 PIMs and a +/- of -45.
