@_blithe_spirit_ No you’ve missed the point. They were reported as deaths with COVID present not of COVID which is perfectly valid as these people would not have died on that day if COVID wasn’t present. The same criteria was used in other countries so the data could be compared.

@paulkellyp You've completely missed the point. Heart failure and Covid would be reported as Covid death. It may well have contributed but it wasn't the cause, yet all these deaths were reported as "death from Covid" . It was scaremongering . Contact your local hospitals, prove me wrong.

@_blithe_spirit_ The criteria used was if COVID was on the death certificate so if someone died of a heart failure and COVID was present it meant that they would not have died at that time if COVID wasn’t present. Covid-19 attacked all vital organs not just the respiratory system.

@paulkellyp No. The Freedom of information act enabled people to contact their local hospitals and ask for Covid death figures and many hospitals were at zero or well under 10. Go check for yourself. Big difference dying OF Covid and dying WITH Covid. The figures WERE exaggerated.

@_blithe_spirit_ Covid only became less dangerous when the vaccine was introduced as there were less deaths or serious illness so the NHS was not overloaded. The death figures weren’t exaggerated as they were calculated on people who died because of COVID not of it as it was in other countries.
