Most sites don't. They make enough from AdServe or whatever to keep whatever sites they run active. We all know this going in. The point is to build a body of work to use to gain a paying writing job, be it covering combat sports, other specialties, or even basic news reporting.

Dawg, I was with Bodyslam from 2021 until last month. I left bc I didn't wanna be there anymore 🤷🏼♀️ and most everyone left for either other ventures, changed interests, or life demanding attention. AEW and WWE don't pay anyone's bills or pad their wallets. Never have. Never will.
