@usareddevils understand that and I respect your background as someone who knows very little about that, but my argument is that it is not as simple and negative as it has been put. Other financials experts have spoken in detail about the club’s state as well and I will respectfully disagree

Tier 1s dont really report on the financial situation as openly as we do. If they did they probably would ruffle feathers and not get inside info. Reminder the financials are public and our background is in IPOs & M&A It sounds negative but it just is the situation we have been put in. I hate that to understand United you have to go through the books but it is a critical part of it

@usareddevils Absolutely responsible ownership would be ideal. However the alternative that has been pushed has been sovereign wealth and that’s not it.

The answer is to have a responsible owner invest in the club debt free, build a state of the art stadium and maximize cash flow so united can have a world class 11 competing for the league and UCL every year. Sovereign wealth is off the table going forward if they sell - it is probably private equity. I do think it is fair to say with the overhang of 115 that City is inflating the transfer market which is why we are turning down deals. Hopefully that is sorted soon but I am not getting my hopes up. Tottenham are paying top $ without sovereign wealth, lets see how it plays out

@usareddevils On Rashford himself, ideally I wouldn’t want him back but I disagree they are spinning his come back. It is more like there is no market for him and there’s no choice.

First I love the back and forth. We are fans and passion should lead the way. We are not right or believe to be. We are muppets on the couch and if it comes off any other way that is not our aim. RE Orenstein the Tier 1s play both sides, lots of them said Ederson wasnt off when it was bc the club needed them to. Chumming the waters to make rashy look like a good guy, that comes from the club. I am just trying to read into what is what. It is just a punt. I said months ago rashford would come back and I also think if he is going to, there will be a coordinated PR campaign to do so. Orenstein will do this because its why he is a trusted source, he is not lying just spinning the narrative the club wants. Its all part of the game. I am just trying to read the tea leaves which I think is fun, not trying to be negative. Rashford is a sad story, he should have been the next Charlton. I think him coming back can be good for both parties but I do believe it is primarily driven by our ownerships financial position which is the main problem I have.

@usareddevils I’m speaking about an overplayed overly simplified narrative that “the front desk” doesn’t know what they’re doing and the answer is to have “Qatar” or the mythical prince come to save the club. Being negative about not spending big but yet criticising overpaying if they did.

@_ChrisCast Our view on spending is related to how 60M a year is spent on debt service not players to improve the team. Its a double edge sword. We are doing cut rate deals because of the poor ownership. Glazers should just sell

@usareddevils No one disagrees on poor ownership and the comment is not about this instance specifically. I understand the concern but speaking absolutes when the reality is so much more complex does nothing but create more angst. Disagree on cut rate deals, it has been done in the past 1/2

@RobertWFD I honestly don’t think there’s anything about a bust-up. I think he thought he was being smart by overloading the midfield given that he reverted to back 5 and he thought Wolves would fold like last time in the second half, but last time they didn’t have their main guy there

@RobertWFD Fletcher is an attacking midfielder, he had him playing deep whilst already having Casemiro, Ugarte, and 5 defenders there. Difficult to justify, I underrated your argument but I don’t think it’s holds for this one.
