I don’t know how many people can say their dad subscribed to their Twitch for 96 months, but I can. My dad was my biggest fan since day 1. Before I was even partnered he would show up to my streams and hang out and cheer me on. He became a pillar of the community since 2017. He loved to gift subs, be a moderator, and his favorite was to wish people happy birthday. He loved being part of The Bakery. He loved being a cupcake, and he was the sweetest of them all. Not only did I lose my dad in real life, which has left a huge empty hole in my heart, I even lost his exuberant energy in my Twitch streams, which is why it’s been hard for me to stream again, knowing I’ll never see him loudly pop in chat, or hear another one of his silly resub messages every month. My life, and my stream will never be the same without him, his love and energy was unmatched, but he loved this space, and he was so proud of it, and I know he’d want me to keep going and keep building. So in my daddy’s honor, The Bakery will keep its doors open and continue to provide a space built on love and acceptance.
Thank you daddy for always being my #1 fan, for always cheering me up and cheering me on, for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I promise I will continue to make you proud.
