This is voter selection. And when a senator suggested fixing it — his own colleague couldn’t name the last time the Senate amended anything. That’s the Senate in 2026.

On a serious note the Bears moving out of Chicago is tragic. Iconic location surrounded by a world class city, museums, the coast, etc., all down the toilet because of greedy owners who wanted taxpayers to foot their bills and reap no rewards. Sad

Indiana is giving ALL the revenue of the proposed stadium to the Bears (as outlined in their lease). That in itself is a ripoff for Indiana taxpayers who are helping foot the bill for the publicly funded stadium. That is extremely hard for Illinois to compete

Just a reminder Indiana’s government said there was no money to help you with property taxes or even pay their bills last year. But they found billions for the Chicago Bears in a few weeks.
